Exploring High Value Social Networks Through Telecommunications
Abstract
As social datasets grow to the size and breadth of sites such as Facebook
and MySpace, the value of such data declines as people form more and more
links with others they don't know or don't care about. As a review from
last year, this talk will detail several effective methods of collecting
high quality social data through the telecommunications grid. Additionally,
as raw data is nothing without eye candy, new data visualization and
interfaces will be covered. Last but not least, this talk will be presented
using custom visualization hardware.
